Today I saw the usual\u00a0Carancho (<em>Caracara\u00a0<\/em><i>plancus<\/i>), Eng.\u00a0<strong>Southern Caracara<\/strong>, the Chimango (<em>Milvago chimango<\/em>), Eng.\u00a0<strong>Chimango Caracara<\/strong>,\u00a0 large numbers of gulls (which I ignored completely today) and of course the vultures.<\/p>\n<dl id=\"attachment_871\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 710px;\">\n<dt class=\"wp-caption-dt\">\n<div id=\"attachment_871\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eayrs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/140930-jote-cab-neg-2-Pio-Protto-refuse-tip.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-871\" class=\"wp-image-871 size-full\" title=\"Black vultures \" src=\"https:\/\/www.eayrs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/140930-jote-cab-neg-2-Pio-Protto-refuse-tip.jpg\" alt=\"Black vultures \" width=\"700\" height=\"462\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eayrs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/140930-jote-cab-neg-2-Pio-Protto-refuse-tip.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.eayrs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/140930-jote-cab-neg-2-Pio-Protto-refuse-tip-454x300.jpg 454w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-871\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Black vultures<\/p><\/div>\n<\/dt>\n<\/dl>\n<p>We\u00a0see two kinds of vulture in San Mart\u00edn; the Jote Cabeza Negra (<em>Coragyps\u00a0<\/em><i>stratus<\/i>), Eng. <strong>Black Vulture and the\u00a0<\/strong>Jote Cabeza Colorada (<em>Cathartes aura<\/em>), Eng. <strong>Turkey Vulture<\/strong>.\u00a0We see far more black vultures generally, and today was no exception.
