Lovely place, with open park and a lawn manicured (or denticured) by the capybara that come in in the evening. In particular, the forest is very dense and although you can sometimes make out a black or brown shape rustling deep in the impenetrable undergrowth it is very hard to see a complete bird, let alone photograph one.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2992\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2992\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2992\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eayrs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/170906-Carpintero-Oliva-Manchado-2-SS-de-la-Selva-Misiones.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"532\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eayrs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/170906-Carpintero-Oliva-Manchado-2-SS-de-la-Selva-Misiones.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.eayrs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/170906-Carpintero-Oliva-Manchado-2-SS-de-la-Selva-Misiones-395x300.jpg 395w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-2992\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">White-spotted woodpecker (Veniliornis spilogaster)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>That said, the trails were great to walk down, so far from the civilisation that I usually live in, and I felt very privileged to share this wonderful place with its inhabitants.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2995\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2995\" class=\"wp-image-2995 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eayrs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/170905-loro-maitaca-SS-de-la-Selva-Misiones.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eayrs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/170905-loro-maitaca-SS-de-la-Selva-Misiones.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.eayrs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/170905-loro-maitaca-SS-de-la-Selva-Misiones-450x300.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-2995\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Colourful Scaly-headed Parrots (Pionus maximiliani) were screeching all around the lodge.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Another great (both huge and satisfying) supper, and as the evening drew on it got quite chilly \u2013 a welcome change from the hot afternoon sun, which I have been finding somewhat debilitating.
