In September 2015 I visited the bird reserve at Pantanos de Villa, an hour’s drive from the Miraflores area of\u00a0Lima. It was my first visit and I went with my friend Andrew Sheehan, an Englishman like myself who lives in Chile. We noted forty-three species in the reserve but may have forgotten to write down some of the ones we were familiar with. The birding was good, and I logged at least fourteen\u00a0 life-listers; photos of those appear below. Some species, mainly gulls and waders, remain to be identified.<\/p>\n
